FAADL accepts donations of gently used books and other materials in order to sell them and raise money for library programming. Therefore, please keep in mind that all donated materials must be in saleable condition. Review the below guidelines for more information on what we accept.
ALL DONATIONS MUST BE BAGGED OR BOXED. WE DO NOT ACCEPT LOOSE ITEMS

BAGS MUST BE NO LARGER THAN STANDARD GROCERY SIZED BAGS

***Please be sure to leaf through all books and other materials to remove valuable items such as photos, checks, cash, and important documents before donating your materials. FAADL is not responsible for lost valuables donated in error.***

Recent fiction (published in last 15 years), history, political and social sciences, biography, memoir, cookbooks, psychology, self-help, nature, humor, sciences, performing arts
Children's books
Classics and collectibles
Books on gardening, crafts, home repair and improvement, art, architecture, animals, pets, poetry, philosophy
Travel books published in the past five years
Textbooks published in the past five years
Like-new greeting card envelopes and cellophane (NOT greeting cards)
DVDs
Rejected Items:
Water damaged or moldy books
Books that smell of smoke, mildew, or other unpleasant odors
Books with ripped or missing pages or covers
Books with broken spines or loose pages
Books with outdated information
Book collections with more than five volumes (ie: George Eliot's Works, etc.)
Travel books published more than five years ago
Textbooks published more than five years ago
Incomplete puzzles and board games
Scratched or missing DVDs and CDs
Empty CD cases
Loose CDs
CD organizers with or without CDs
VHS and cassette tapes
Audiobooks on cassette tape
Records
Magazines
Catalogs
