Volunteer with the Friends!

The Friends of the Ann Arbor District Library (FAADL) is made up of a very dedicated group of local booklovers who believe in supporting our amazing library system and giving our community access to books and other materials at very affordable prices. As a growing, dynamic organization, we need a lot of help! Please see below for our current available volunteer opportunities. We ask that all volunteers* be able to commit to a regular weekly 3-hour shift for a minimum of 6 months. Volunteers must also have access to email for communication purposes and have reliable transportation. *Book Shop volunteers must be able to commit to at least two 3.25-hour shifts a month.
